    Full Service Lien Department

    Once the underlying claim has been resolved, the file is quickly transferred to our lien department for resolution of any outstanding liens that could not be resolved at the time of settlement. Our lien department will work with you toward a quick and successful resolution of all liens because a file is not closed until it is “closed closed!”

    132a Defense

    For employers hit with a claim of discrimination under California Labor Code Section 132a, we will work with your team to defend and protect you.

    Serious and Willful Defense

    We are there to defend you for claims filed under California Labor Code Sections 4553 and 4553.1, so that you can avoid penalties.

    Daniel Goggins
    Dan Goggins is a seasoned trial attorney with nearly 25 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation Defense and Civil Litigation matters including subrogation. His areas of specialty include Workers’ Compensation Defense, 132a and Serious and Willful claims, as well as Subrogation.

    Born and raised in Michigan, where he attended Michigan State University as an undergraduate and Thomas Cooley Law School before moving to California in 1990 to begin his legal career, he is a member of the California Bar Association, United States District Federal Court as well as the American Bar Association and past member of the California and Orange County Trial Lawyers Associations since 1994. Dan remains an active member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar of California and has been a guest lecturer for several IEA courses on a range of Workers’ Compensation topics, as well as Civil Subrogation.

    Dan, an avid runner and cyclist enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Sophia, and their three daughters.
    Brett Rouchon
    Brett Rouchon joined Daniel Goggins and Associates in 2016. He is a graduate of Western State University College of Law where he was awarded the Business Law Certificate and received highest Public Service Honors. Before his time at Western State University College of Law, he attended college at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona where he played on the Men's soccer team.

    In his free time, Brett enjoys spending time outdoors with his girlfriend, Britani, and his three dogs.
    Mary Girges
    Prior to joining Daniel Goggins and Associates, Mary Girges practiced as a plaintiff’s attorney for a civil firm where she also represented applicants in Workers Compensation cases. With that experience, Mary brings with her a unique perspective on Workers’ Compensation defense.

    She is a graduate of Southwestern Law School, where she was secretary for the Student Bar Association and a member of the Women’s Law Association. Before attending Southwestern, she attended Pennsylvania State University obtaining two Bachelor of Arts degrees in criminal justice and psychology with a minor in Middle Eastern studies.

    In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Tyler, her friends and family, as well as cooking and traveling.
